Online dental treatment? How is that even possible?

Yes. Everyone who reads this line reacts that way. We all know that for any dental problem, we have to go to a dentist. Then dental consultation happens with scary looking instruments. Then there are dental treatments done in the mouth.

It sounds absurd that someone is talking about dental treatment online. How will they look in the mouth? Without those instruments and dental chair how will they diagnose the condition and treat?

Even if the patient says I have bleeding gums, without physically going to the dental clinic how will the patient get cured?

All these queries are valid and true. Yes we do need to go to a dental clinic to get dental treatments in the mouth.

But the mouth is much more than only teeth. You all would agree with me that there are many conditions like mouth ulcers, burning sensation in mouth, bad smell, Dry mouth, white/red patches in the mouth, sore mouth etc. for which the dentists may not do any procedures in your mouth, but only prescribe medications like painkillers, gels, mouthwashes, anti-oxidants, multivitamins etc.

So the consultations and prescriptions for these conditions can be done online by video or audio facility.

It is also possible that these medicines are Ayurveda instead of Allopathy and would be prescribed by Ayurveda specialist doctors for many oral conditions.

If you want to avoid antibiotics or any such Allopathy medicines and substitute it with Ayurveda medicines while your dentists carry out procedures like root canal treatment, removal of teeth, gum surgeries in the dental clinics, that is also possible by online video consultations with Ayurveda specialists.

Now you have an option!!

Since Ayurveda doctors are medical doctors like physicians, they do not do any procedures in the mouth. Therefore it is possible to consult them online for prescription of medicines and thereby avoid travel, traffic, stress, and save time by video consultations whenever possible, and visit your dentist for dental procedures. Isn’t it like getting best of both worlds?

Yes that is called Integrative Dentistry, and it is possible online!!

I don’t think that now it sounds that absurd. Don’t you all agree with me?
